Damian Clarke is an associate professor of economics at the University of Santiago de Chile, a Research Fellow at IZA, and a research associate at the Centre of Micro-Social Change (Essex), and the Centre for the Study of African Economies (Oxford). His research is focused on fertility, maternal and child health, and microeconometric methods. Damian received his PhD in Economics from the University of Oxford in 2016, and a Masters in Economics for Development from Oxford in 2012. He has participated in projects funded by a number of international organizations including the World Bank, UNESCO, UNU-WIDER and CAF Development Bank of Latin America. He has published papers in journals such as the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Journal of the European Economic Association, and The Economic Journal.
