Timo Jütten is the Head of the School of Philosophy and Art History, a senior lecturer in philosophy and a member of the Human Rights Centre. His research interests are in social and political philosophy broadly conceived. His current work is on capitalism, competition and the moral limits of markets, and on issues related to gender inequality (sexual objectification, prostitution, pornography). He also is interested in the philosophical foundations of human rights and in the concept of human dignity. On the HRBDT project, he is a member of Workstream 1 and is interested in the transformation of concepts such as consent and privacy in the context of Big Data, and in the use of competition policy in the regulation of large corporations.
