HRBDT at Policy Roundtable on Application of Responsible AI: Opportunities for Policing

On 17 November 2017, Pete Fussey participated in a Reform policy roundtable discussion in London on ‘Application of Responsible AI: Opportunities for Policing’.

The roundtable, led by Stephen Kavanagh (Chief Constable of the Essex Police and NPCC Chair of the Digital Policing Board), was the first of a series of Reform events supported by Accenture. The event considered the technical and societal factors that will accelerate or hinder the development and use of AI; and how best to harness the use of AI in a sustainable and responsible way, looking in particular at the case study of responsible AI in policing.
