We’re Hiring – Project Manager

Applications are invited for the position of Project Manager, within the Human Rights Centre, University of Essex, to work on the Human Rights, Big Data and Technology Project.

Duties of the Role

As a key member of the team, the post holder will manage the day-to-day operations and activities of the Human Rights, Big Data and Technology Project and will deliver strategically important projects and initiatives on time and within budget. Responsibilities will include co-ordinating research progress, undertaking internal and external communications, including research dissemination, overseeing the budget and recruitment processes, and developing key documentation.

Qualifications and Skills Required

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and will have experience of working as a project manager in any context and/or supporting a research project, as well as excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills. The role requires the ability to engage and persuade others, ensuring the needs of key stakeholders are met, resources are used effectively and benefits are maximised.
